Help Your Child With Sensory Experiences
The sensory processing and integration we are talking about the way a person’s central nervous system picks up information from our different sensory systems, and then sends it to the brain, where the information is processed and put to use.
Sensory play an essential element in our day to day to life. It’s one of the dominant systems that support and needed in every task which we perform. Now mostly was all are aware of it as it has been in around the air. The importance of balance sensory systems in each stage of life helps individuals to carry out their work efficiently and actively. Sensory facilitates the play, promotes exploration, and encourages each individual to get connected to the surrounding.
Sensory has eight elements, and they are Visual, Tactile, Gustatory, Olfactory, Vestibular, Proprioception, and Interoception. Each part has its meaning, and function is each life.
Sensory is the base of play also as it gives them the power to explore the world by the infant to toddler and childhood. A child in the womb starts his first sensory experience, and that is touch.
Some who have issues in this system termed SPD(Sensory processing disorder). So if the person has any limitation in modulating any of the above 8 methods, he or she may have issues in dealing with her day-to-day activities, school liabilities, coordination, motor planning, following instruction, moving a lot, chewing nonobject and many more.
Those kids have sensory issues; it does not mean they can’t live their life normally, but they can need the needsome of the activities which can stimulate their actions. Each of us has sensory concerns, but we do not label them as SPD; they termed sensory reactivity. Some sensory experiences are needed in life, as they help us get alert from the danger and some help in planning the task.
Sensory experiences need to incorporate with the help of the game for making the child learn and explore these above elements.
